As a lifelong Wisconsinite, Brad has dedicated his career to defending victims, supporting law enforcement, and ensuring that criminals are held accountable.



As a prosecutor, Schimel earned a reputation for being tough and relentless in his pursuit of justice. He prosecuted a wide range of serious crimes, including elder abuse, human trafficking, homicide, sexual assault, internet crimes against children, and public corruption. He also handled one of the nation’s first sextortion cases. For Brad Schimel, being “tough on crime” is not just a campaign slogan; it’s a calling.



As Wisconsin’s Attorney General, known as the state’s “Top Cop,” Brad proudly supported law enforcement and tackled some of the largest criminal justice issues facing the state. Refusing to accept the status quo, Schimel implemented significant reforms aimed at combating drug abuse, elder exploitation, and threats to children’s safety. Notably, he established a program that addressed decades of neglect surrounding rape kits, providing victims with closure and clearing a significant backlog.



Brad and his wife, Sandi, are proud parents of two adoptive daughters. They reside in Waukesha County, where Brad currently serves as a Circuit Court Judge, upholding the rule of law and ensuring the safety of their community.
