Fact Check: Susan Crawford Attempted to Abolish Voter ID

WAUKESHA, Wisc. – Susan Crawford led the Democrat effort to eliminate Voter ID, yet she refuses to recuse herself from presiding over any future case involving the law. Time after time, Susan Crawford has proven to voters that she cannot be trusted to rule objectively, especially the state’s highly popular Voter ID law.

Susan Crawford’s contempt for basic election security measures is well documented. Susan Crawford sued the people of Wisconsin to prevent Voter ID from being implemented. When it was popular for her career path, Susan Crawford called the law “draconian” and even compared it to a “poll tax.” Now that it’s deeply unpopular, Susan Crawford is hiding from her past self.

“Susan Crawford’s failed attempts to overturn Voter ID, coupled with her well-documented disparagement of the law, raises another round of serious judicial ethics questions: can Wisconsinites trust Susan Crawford to rule objectively on this or any matter that is on her Democrat handlers’ agenda?” – Schimel Campaign Spokesperson Jacob Fischer
