WAUKESHA, Wisc. – Today, the International Union of Police Associations, AFL-CIO endorsed Judge Brad Schimel in his bid to save Wisconsin’s Supreme Court. The International Union of Police Associations adds to Schimel’s long list of bipartisan law enforcement support, including over 80 Wisconsin Sheriffs.
As part of their endorsement, the International Union of Police Associations said, “Your past experience as a prosecutor, Attorney General, and judge has provided you with a well-earned reputation as a champion for justice and for working to keep our communities safe from those who would prey on them. You would be an asset to this august body and your influence, based on your experience, will result in enhanced safety for the people of Wisconsin and for the brave men and women who protect them.”
Following this announcement, Judge Schimel said, “I’m honored to receive the support of the International Union of Police Associations in my race for the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Throughout my entire career, I’ve worked alongside our brave men and women in uniform to ensure our communities are safe.
